Symega Flavours India and Symega Savoury Technology have merged their business operations to create a unified entity, Symega Food Ingredients Limited, which shall offer its customers a diverse range of food ingredients and sensory solutions.
The Symega Food Ingredients product portfolio will include culinary products, flavours, natural colours, seasonings, spice blends, and specialty ingredients that are suitable for food categories like baked goods, hot and cold beverages, breakfast mixes, confectionary, noodles and pasta, soups and snacks, and for complex formulations like pharmaceuticals and functional foods.
The formation of Symega Food Ingredients reflects the continuing pursuit of the merging companies to delight their customers and business associates, by offering diversified food ingredients under a single umbrella, delivering the flexibility and choice the customers seek, and maximising mutual business value. The move also offers Symega with greater synergies, enabling it to compete with the world leading peers, while further elevating its market position at the forefront of changing consumer preferences and trends within the food and beverage industry.
Symega Savoury Technology Limited was founded in 2006 as a joint venture between Synthite Industries, Kerala, India and Omega Technology, Austria, to develop and manufacture seasonings and savoury ingredients for the food industry. By 2016, it emerged to be one of the largest seasoning houses in India, offering savoury taste solutions like seasonings, spice blends and specialty ingredients to varied food segments, including snacks, noodles, soups, oats, marinades and other processed foods.
Symega Flavours India Limited was incepted in 2006 as Aromco Flavours India Limited, a joint venture between Synthite Industries and Aromco Limited, UK. The company became a fully owned subsidiary of Synthite in 2014, and was rechristened Symega Flavours. It specializes in designing and producing customized sweet flavour and natural colour solutions for the global food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, with particular focus on dairy, beverage, bakery and confectionery segments.
